El Pobal Forgery

A living museum dedicated to the iron industry. Built in the sixteenth century by the Lords of Muñatones Castle, the foundry continued to operate through to 1965. It is the best conserved foundry in Biscay and the only one to have maintained the upkeep of all the mechanical equipment (foundry wheels, hammers, bellows…).
